Once we are operating fully, memberships will be reactivated.  Direct debits will return to normal on your usual debit date / frequency.  Up front memberships will be extended for the amount of time we have remained closed/on limited trading conditions.

Please be aware that we can not make any changes to direct debits or account details until all suspensions are lifted.  Please be patient and allow us time to work through requests.

HOW EMPIRE FITNESS CENTRE IS HELPING TO STOP THE SPREAD OF GERMS.

While Empire Fitness has been closed, we have had the entire facility cleaned by a COVID19 safe cleaning company on top or our usual cleaning team. Additional cleaning and sanitation protocols will continue after the centre reopens with consistent cleaning and sanitising of high touch areas

Before entering the centre all members will be asked to use our hand sanitiser provided at reception.

Hand sanitising stations have been placed throughout the centre with approved alcohol based hand sanitiser. Please use them regularly during your time in the centre.

Members who do not have a towel to use on equipment will be required to purchase a towel from reception. No towel = no workout.

All members will be provided with a bottle of disinfectant and a disposable cloth to wipe equipment before and after use.  It is a condition of using the centre that you wipe all touch points on equipment before and after use.  When you are finished your workout, please dispose of the cloth in the bin and return the disinfectant bottle to reception.

Signage has been placed throughout the centre to ensure members are keeping their social distance of the recommended 1.5m.  All machines are placed at the required distance apart. Signs will indicate any machines not in use to ensure safe distancing at all times.  These pieces of equipment will be rotated into use. Please follows the signs and floor markings.

The centre will be clearly marked and sectioned off to keep within guidelines of maximum numbers allowed per area.  Please follow instructions for each area and do not enter that area if it is already at the capacity listed. Our staff will be monitoring areas and numbers in each area.  We ask that you please leave your booked section at the end of your session time.

Our reception team will make frequent announcements on the PA system to remind members of our safety protocols.

Following government guidelines, our showers and drink fountains must remain closed.  Please ensure you bring your own pre-filled water bottle to use during your workout.  Our staff are unable to refill empty bottles at reception. Water is available for purchase at reception.

During personal training sessions, your trainer will wipe down each piece of equipment before and after use. Our trainers will practice safe social distancing measures.

Group fitness classes will commence with a condensed timetable when government guidelines allow. These classes will have limited numbers and bookings may be required. There will be time allocated between classes for thorough cleaning of the group fitness studio and equipment.  The floor will be marked out to keep within social distancing guidelines.  Please check our social pages and website for details to come.

Childminding will open when government guidelines allow.  Our goal is to keep your children in a safe and clean environment.  Extra cleaning and sanitising will be done throughout the sessions on top of our regular cleaning procedures.  Children who are unwell cannot be brought into our childminding facility.  Please note at this time children cannot sit in the member’s lounge area as it is closed off.

In line with government guidelines and social distancing recommendations, please note that our member’s lounge area will be closed off.  Please do not sit in the taped off areas. Children are not permitted to sit in the lounge area while closed off.
